In one of my favorite songs, "Someone To Believe In", what does "Running headlong to attract" mean? I understand "I have felt the final rush of loves embrace the magic touch" and "I have felt the breath of Satan on my back" but I don't get the "running headlong" part. Can someone explain?

PS
Call me an old cynic – but, I’ve always assumed this song was about s****ing about until you find the ‘partner of your dreams’.
Running headlong to attract – to me means doing whatever you can to get someone into bed and ‘damn the consequences’ – but, the breath of Satan, perhaps, implies there’s also rather more than a touch of guilty conscience.
Let me show myself to you
Somebody to whom I can belong
Come and show yourself to me
Don’t we all want to be able to trust someone enough to be able to completely lose ourselves in them – give ourselves totally?
He’s a romantic, who really believes that special someone is out there; or, more realistically, wants to believe she’s out there.
It’s such a pity we have to kiss so many bloody frogs!!!!!!

"Running head long to attract"
Meaning: What a bartender does with beer on tap for an extended period, to lure innocent young women into his sleazy life.
If you dont believe me...look it up!

The truly unfortunately thing about kissing frogs is that they DON'T kiss well. As kissers go, they're not even remotely good at it.
But that POV comes from a lifetime of experience

DMD3 - That's toads. Mind you - there are plenty of those out there, too.
