No actually a look in both my regular email accounts just now shows nothing from you,.
Rather than bother with sending anything to me only by email dear Charabanc you should steel yourself and upload a selection of them somewhere then display some or all here all by yourself.
John
Even better sprinkLe some suitable ones here in your long-awaited report

If we didn't know that was him,I'd think a good title for the picture would be "Fearless Age".
Good title? Let me know.

The David I speak of is David Newland, emcee and singer/songwriter at the Tribute Shows. He is but one of the trio of lovelies that bring a smile to my face and a song in my heart....Lightfoot of course....unless it's one of their own gems.
Char
I have NO idea what to do to make the picture appear....even your instruciton sin you e-mail are beyond my understanding Sir John...
I truly am daft this afternoon...moreso than usual....
Char the confused....

The color photo near the top of this page is the worst photo of Gordon Lightfoot I've ever seen.In my opinon,it doesn't even look like him.
Yes,the man is 67 years old,and yes,he has had some major health problems in the past year or so.
But if the photo wasn't labeled as being G.L;I never would have known it was him.
And case you're wondering-yes,I'm old enough to remember when,"If You Could Read My Mind" was a current song.So I'm familar with what Mr.Lightfoot looked like in his prime.

well having just seen him a few weeks ago - up close and personal - he looks just like that these days. he's as fit as a fiddle and has a spring in his step and a smile on his face. his laugh is hearty and he doesn't miss a beat....the twinkle in his eyes and wry grin are that of an elder statesman who has lived the life and survived as a better man. it's a face that says it all.

I see that sparkle in his eye -- hey, I think he's sexy. Who's gonna second that?

Most of us have been around as long, and are also familiar with what Gord looked like in his prime. Too bad there wasn't a way to package youth in a bottle. You could just sprinkle a little on every day, and stay eternally young.
The picture is pretty much representative of how he looks now. You might as well get used to it, because there's not a one of us that's getting any younger.

We live in a youth-obsessed culture, I'm afraid. I'm just glad that at 67, and considering everything he's been through, Gord is doing well. May this continue for a long time to come.
