First off let me say my thoughts are with my neighbours down in the US in yesterday's nightmare in NY. My first thought was to see if Gord was stuck in the States or otherwise affected by this tragedy. I was only a wee kid about 8 years old when the Fitzgerald went down and don't have solid memories of that event however yesterday's event is permanently seared into my brain.

My thoughts are also with my friends across
the Pond. I hope you and your familes are all safe. Although we have known terrorists
attacks for the past 25 years, yesterdays
eventsin US were surreal - unbelievable. I
watched 'live' as the WTC disintergrated
before my eyes and my heart almost died
along with the thousands who did die in that
moment. God rest their souls. May God forgive they who instigated this diabolical
injustice because I doubt the human race ever will!

The prayers and best wishes of all Australians ( and lovers of freedom ) are with our American friends at this terrible time. " God bless America "

To our Canadian friends and friends across the ponds.

Thanks so-o much for your heartfelt words and thoughts.
Even with no direct connection, this is a very stressful time.
Tuesday started out with one major shock and then was followed
with so many horrendous others and it has been never ending thus far.
Shock, tears, anger and more tears . . .

Some of the most comforting things for me personally and most appreciated
have been your kindnesses shown through heartfelt outpourings from those of
you reaching out from other countries.

With not knowing what's ahead, the fear and dread . . .
It's comforting to know you are there and are our friends.
I am a non-violent person and always feel that things can be talked out,
which makes things like this so incredible and incomprehensible to me.

Thank you so-o much.
your neighbor,
Kim
