He is just the Best

I can't believe that I am still finding so many GL songs after so long. I heard GL for the first time when I was about 13. I was a fan instantly and have been ever since, I lived in the sticks and didn't see a picture of him for years! Icould listen to his music forever, definately his albums would be my "desert island" choice.So many beautiful songs.My one regret is that it is doubtful if I will ever get the priviledge to see him as I live in Australia.

I am so happy that I found this website! I thought I was the only fan out there!! Although I am a somewhat "new" Gordon Lightfoot fan, it will be nice to discuss with and learn from other fans.

I think you are right, the only way we will see Gord is Swim the Pacific. In fact Gord mentioned at his recent Concert in Melbourne Florida that he was concerned that the booking was for Melbourne Aus. Assumably this is because Gord dosen't like flying very much, not because he doesn't want to visit the best city in the World.
