Thanks Joveski. Dylan looks the same, just "normal" aging but Gord has really changed in looks. I remember seeing him in 2000 I hadn't seen him for a long time, I couldn't believe it was the same person.

He doesn't look anything like he does on the cover of the albums.

Actually I think he's starting to look more like what he did when he first started out - but maybe that's just me. I DO like the beard, though (see other thread on that topic.)

Does anyone have any idea who the child between Dylan and GL is in the first picture? (Something seems wrong with the structure of this sentence)

well Joveski I am not sure what to make of your statement!!
at best it must make our dear moderator a.k.a. Witless of Whitby Charlene feel very smug and she is probbly laughing in her
boots. On the other hand it reveals that all my efforts at educating you all on displaying pictures here are not completely lucid ,despite the success of Charlene and several others including of course the redoubtable Stationmaster who as you will have seen had absolutely no problem using the three URLs that you provided to display your three chosen Dylan/Lightfoot pix
So in advance of and to further sort out my presentation of a fully revised tutorial I will now think aloud and try to do a bit of a recap. These notes I will also incorporate into my tutorial that I hope to soon revise/consolidate.
This should also aid Norman Miller now returned from his "Paddle To The Sea" catch up on this matter as he revealed in
another topic that he is still rather stuck paddleless up a faeces-infested creek somewhere.
I am of course referring to his recent plea for help
"Topic: Who can i email photos to post on this site???help" at:- http://www.corfid.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002704.html
Also and not least Cathy who attempted to use the corfid board's limited application UBB code tags [img] [/img] to no good
effect on the Newsgroup recently and found surprise surprise that it fails to function there!!
So as the picture she wished to display from last Saturday's Memphis NASCAR race is on her web site at:-
http://cathycowette.com/graham.jpg
I can display it here

John Graham's Chervrolet Monte Carlo after a few spins and shunts. Barely visible is the cover of Harmony on its hood
(bonnet) as the car was sponsered by Gordon.
to see how I did that just click on the edit icon above this posting to see what I submitted.I simply put Cathy's URL inside the pair of UBB tags
As Cathy said:-
"It was during a spin out, and the only fairly decent shot of the car that I
could find.
Graham is fairly new to the sport. It's only his third Busch Series race, so
he's still pretty green (and it showed, several times)."
As the screenshot Cathy made from a VHS tape is rather small I have enlarged it a bit:-

Now where was I oh yes thinking aloud.
The first essential reqirement for displaying a picture is that it must be one that is available somewhere anywhere already on the www World Wide Web. and therefore subject to http (HyperText Transfer Protocol) this means by definition that it will have an address URL-Uniform Resource Locator) starting http:// which immediately invalidates any computer address such as the one Bruna silverheels tried to use on her "does it work?" topic at :-
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002690.html
THis brings up a good point though whilst it is true that to find any picture's URL you can right click on it and select "properties" from
the right-click menu but you must beware you might well have your browser set as the default jpg picture viewer so a file on your
computer will open up yiour browser and foil you into thinking you are looking at it on-line... wrong it will have a computer address such
as c:\ rather than h.t.t.pSo if you have a pic on your computer you must upload it somewhere on the internet first to make it accessible from any
internet connected computer.
there are some 5 ways I can think of to achieve this at the moment
1. if you have your own website upload it as Cathy did (you quite likely already have some free space of say 5-10MB provided
free by your (ISP) Internet service Provider)
2. upload to any free picture hosting site such as ofoto but check that the relevant UBB code bracket IMG bracket actual URL addressbracket slash IMG bracket link works ok by posting it on the test forum to prove that hotlinking works
3 utilise the photo/picture archiving feature on any group site such as Sidney Freedman's MSN group at:- http://groups.msn.com/TheHomePageOfGordonLightfoot
but as I found out the URLs that site produces do not work too well on corfid hence my further tutorial on making a
substitute notlong URL
4. use the limited time (30-days) but extremely simple free hosting service at http://www.upload4free.com
5 find a free web site provider (that allows hot-linking to uploaded pix) and set up your very own free web space (it will probably have a longish not well remembered domain name but that won't matter for this purpose
One such is http://www.web1000.com but I have had file access problems there and am still searching for a more reliable free
service for other projects
I hope that helps everybody
I am impressed by the number of corfidians who have successfully taken on the challenge of displaying pictures here which has
made my efforts seem so worthwhile

Oh John, I did manage to post the picture in one of the threads on this sight. I knew it wouldn't work on the newsgroup, so I just posted the link to the picture on my site.

Considering Graham's inexperience in Busch racing, he didn't do too bad, I guess. He seemed to be in the thick of almost all the crashes, although he was not the cause of them. I was disappointed that the broadcasters didn't mention his sponsor. They were really just featuring the top drivers.

That is a rather odd sounding question. Could it be Jacob? He resembles Dylan. The guy behind them looks like one of the hedgehog kids on Welcome Back Kotter.

Nah, not Arnold the other one, he was kind of quiet. Einstein or something like that. His real name was Robert something.

i think Dylan looks like Kotter... for me, Gord's always been endearing, Dylan repelling ...i consumed all things Dylan for about 20 years but that era fizzled as I re-sparked up some more Gord, both are champs

i'd rather know who the gal is between them
