I do not plan on attending being far too busy as I am but can you elaborate on what this is all about?

thought local musicians might enjoy, just Bob doing a music workshop re covering GL tunes (i'd anticipate a version of CRT being included)... quite a character

more info on the festival in general:
http://www.creativearts.on.ca/viewsection.php/6

the folks who organize this work out of the Tivoli Theatre where 'talkies' where shown for the first time in Canada way back when... ugh, last month the roof caved in, consequently the 3rd floor section had to be demolished... lovely place, last of dying breed, can't raise the funds to restore it, sad... i believe it's now owned by the Sniderman family (Sam the Record Man)... just saw Sarah Harmer play there last year ) ...oh, i've gone well off topic

say, it's August, take a breather, eh

a wonderful afternoon but too brief, only a handful of folks turned into hundreds who had flocked from other venues (there are 4 or 5 stages) to the grass in front of the stage once those familiar melodies filled the air

a good buzz in the air, bob & friend(s) rambled off a few tales and performed Early morning rain, For lovin' me, Trilogy, Home from the forest (outstanding version, he said he was inspired by Ronnie Hawkin's version), Rainy day people, Don quixote, Song for winter's night, Alberta bound...

he got heckled from a fan for not doing the Wreck, who would have thought they needed a bouncer at a family day event, lol!

an afternoon surrounded by total strangers but all Gord fans singing together, priceless...actually, the whole festival was free, that fits my budget these days

may i email someone who'll post (sucessfully, unlike my efforts) a pic?

ps) i dunno if my wee 3 month old will love me or hate me when he's older but when his teen (hip hop?) friends ask him one day 'what was your first concert?' he'll have to honestly reply 'Bob Burchill', lol
