Lightfoot - Mellencamp

Dear friends,
i'm a big Gordon fan as much as a big Mellencamp fan.
In the CBC archives site i found this:

"The CBC commissioned Lightfoot to write The Canadian Railroad Trilogy for this New Year's Day program celebrating Canada's Centennial in 1967. The song appeared on Lightfoot's The Way I Feel album released later that year. Rank & File and John Mellencamp are just two artists who've recorded the song over the years"

It is true that Mellencamp recorded it? Where i can find it?

Hi Max! Well,I checked Mellencamp's main site and went through the discography. I checked all titles on every LP and I saw no CRRT.

A different site I happened to find said that he had recorded it but listed the album as "unknown".

Which means he may have recorded it but it's not been released as of yet. ...or else it's some made up thing. I tried!
