Make Way For The Lady vs. No Mistake About It

Which song do you like better, Make Way For The Lady or No Mistake About It? Mine is gonna half to be "Make Way For The Lady". I don't know why, I just think it's a better song is all.

To me they're completely different songs. My take on Make Way for the Lady is that if you're looking for a special someone you need to get out of your own way before he/she can even show up. "Anytime you get lonely You just got to turn it around."

I got the sense that Lightfoot felt he knew how to turn that faucet off and on And maybe he did/does. Wish he's teach me.

No Mistake About It is about the kind of women who are predators. And of course they're usually stunningly gorgeous too damn them. Think Black Widow.

I think they're both nice little lite-jazz numbers that you can't help but listen to! I'd say they're almost perfectly equal,with the slight edge going to "Lady". Hey,it's a classic! (Then again "Mistake" will be that in it's own time.)
