Here I am sitting on my room on the 14th floor of the Pantages Hotel not 5 feet from the window out of which as on our two previous stays here I can see the entire roof of Massey Hall scene of a splendid concert last night.I know that Wayne has his own sources so that in due course he will upload the setlist but meanwhile I iused my one-bun two-shoe routune to remember the setlist and I was able to crib a few song titles where I could not read my own writing by reference to Char's recent Orillia setlist on:-

Amazingly, as I have always maintained that Gord never does the same concert twice the running order of the first half last night was very nearly identical to that of the 7PM Orillia concert last Sunday
with a few exceptions
Let It Ride dropped from 4th to 10th Clouds was omitted
Spanish Moss was squeezed in to make a medley with Shadows
Rainy Day Peole was added
First half setlist
1.Triangle
2 The Watchman's Gone
3 All The Lovely Ladies
4 I'd Rather Press On
5 Wild Strawberries
6 Rainy Day People
7 Spanish Moss
8 Shadows
9 Beautiful
10. Let It Ride
11 Dang I cannot read my writing for this one but it had a "soccer connection" (11 members in a team!!)
12 Carefree Highway
13 Cotton Jenny
14 Ribbon Of Darkness
15 Sundown
intermission
the second half also broadly mirrored the Orillia set
but opening as frequently done of late with the recently rerotated Drink Your Glasses Empty as a duet between Mike and Gord.It pushed the Wreck down to the third position after the also reactivated
2 Race Around The Ruins
3. TWOTEF
4. Never Too Close
then an acknowledgement to "his friend" playing at the same time at the Toronto Air Canadar CentRE
5 Ring Them Bells
6 Waiting For You
7 APPT
8 IYCRMM
9 Don Quixote
10 Baby Step Back
11 EMR
and as an encore
12 Cold On The Shoulder
Afterwards we met a couple whose son plays hockey with the son of their neigbour one
Barry Keane
we are now preparing to host our usual pre concert drinks and snacks party at 2PM here (I have hooked up a portable DVD player to the room's LG LCD television set so will be able to play a GL DVD during the party) and later it will be time to get the Mitts on (how could anybody put up with such a first name all his life??) in preparaton for sparring with the Hooligan from Sydney who I understand will be at this evening's concert.
