Lightfoot's performance was wonderful on this show.
Having seen it in its entirety, I found the 'question-and-answer' segments to be almost as entertaining. He seems somewhat uncomfortable when asked to speak, answering inane questions from the audience, rather than sing. It's humorous (I left out the other 'u' on purpose) in it's own way.

Same here RM his singing was perfect on this 1999 {Much More Music} Intimate & Interactive program. And I too enjoyed the questions, and mostly the answers that were right on !
When he sang "I Used To Be A Country Singer" it sounded 99% exactly like the recording. He was in tip top shape that night fer sure.

Those last 3 tunes were just superb! Great sound! Big thanks to you, Jesse Joe, you da man. Gord was on top of his game that night as well as the whole band. What a great looking venue, too. Thanks again, JJ

Yes indeed Gord was on top of his game that night as well as the whole band. That was a special for Much More Music in 1999 in the Much Music studio in Toronto. He sounded so close to the original recording on some songs...ie: "I used To Be A Country Singer," that it shows how he & his band are so tight playing together.
