Yes, I'm also hoping for Bobby McGee. Heard it twice last year in California and it was great - always loved his version! Talked to Rick about it in CA and he said there's not much hope he would keep it in the setlist - only did it because he met with Kristofferson... But: Apparently he changed his mind, so there's hope for us John!!
What's the plan anyway for Minny? Anybody getting together before the concert? I'll probably not able to manage that, but I might have time for a quick drink together.
Who knows why he played Bitter Green on St Patrick's Day... lol
I see you're from Forest Lake, seafarer. That is the first place I ever hitch hiked to. - just from Hugo. I was with some other girls and we thumbed a ride to 'The Rock Shop'. I think we wanted to get some polished rocks with our 10 cents or something.
Pretty fair review. When Lightfoot is quoted as saying “We’re a little bit strange. And we’re not getting any younger (he’s 70). But we love to work.”, I got to thinkng.....
If he thinks his group is a little strange, imagine what he must think of the "Net People"......
I've thought of asking him but then I am too afraid to hear the answer..
lol
I think he's appreciative of his fans regardless of where they may congregate to discuss all things Lightfoot and how strange it may seem to him...he doesn't have to really 'understand' it tho. Maybe it's better that way!
And he does appreciate that there is a place like this for us...it keeps us away from his place..lol
