Live Album in the Works! Cool Revelations in Birmingham
After the Birmingham show, I stayed out back and talked to Mike and Terry a bit. Mike and I talked shop about the DX7 and his midi rack. He did confirm that the band has been going through Massey shows from the 2000's for material for a live album. When I asked if it would be on Linus, he replied that he is the most junior member of the band and is kept in the dark on such matters. He joked with someone else about his junior status- only 27 years! He also was gracious enough to autograph my Harmony CD and take a photo.
Terry was speaking with someone about the Jim Gordon tragedy. If you do not know about the story behind the famous session drummer who played with Gord in the studio, co-wrote Layla and toured with the likes of Joan Baez, Frank Zappa and many others, the story can be found at wikipedia.org. Terry mentioned that the band, including Gordon, had dinner at his house, and that all the shots from the inside of the Gord's Gold album were taken in his (Terry's) back yard.
