Apparently I'm not the only one who likes that version better. The original is great too, but this version is the BEST.

This was the way he first recorded it for the LP. 'Did She Mention My Name.' It can also be heard in the Michael Douglas debut movie, "Hail Hero" which Gord also wrote the song for the title of this movie. And I agree Deal, it is the best version.

Gord Buddy the Mac and Lesley Duncan

my all time favourite album cover
delving into the listings for Lesley it included all 5 of her vinyl albums (together with a few reviews by visitors to the site) on a discography page http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/lesley_duncan#Album
of which so far only 2 have made it to a CD plus on a further page 3 of her singles including a cover of a Dylan song I was unaware of

and where applicable each artist's page gives the link to any current ebay auctions for that artist example
Lesley's "Maybe its lost" vinyl album on ebay right now at:-
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...Name=WDVW&rd=1
Similarly a listing of Gord's albums now on ebay is at:-
http://rateyourmusic.com/ebay/?artist_id=6267
I also found by accident a link to midomi.com whose Lightfoot page at:-
http://www.midomi.com/index.php?acti...FQ2nGgodGjsP1g
all Gord's albums seem to be listed with a link to their track lists and two options "sing it" (it apparently will record you singing it .. if you sign up and dare!!!)
or "buy" which gives links to the album as sold by Amazon or "download" from itunes(presumably only if available)

It is very interesting indeed. This one here for Songbook is a steal of a deal... I paid twice that when I bought mine when it came out.
