Not sure if I got the right title, it's the song that became the Bee Gees 1st US hit but I'm wonder if they write it or did somebody else write it? I know if was about a real life disaster in NY State and have been trying to find info on it but can't seem to do so.

Hi,

The title is "New York MIning Disaster 1941", and yes, it was written by two of the Gibb brothers.

Touhy, the song is also sub-titled,"Have You Seen My Wife Mr. Jones?")

Making the title,"New York Mining Disaster 1941 (Have You Seen My Wife Mr. Jones?),one of the longest titles of a hit song in pop history! It's also the Bee Gees 1st hit in the United States in 1967.

The longest belongs to a studio group called Stars On 45. It's such a long title,I don't even have time to type it! :D It was a #1 hit though.
