Here are some of the bands listed at The Canyon Club over the next couple of months. This is the same venue Gord played in Agoura Hills two weeks ago. Foreigner, Doobie Brothers, Pablo Cruise, Berlin, Average White Band, Little River Band -- Wow! Like, totally cool, does it blow your mind, dudes?

Pablo Cruise? Aw,man! I'd have given (well not "anything")but quite a lot to have seen them live! I have most of their LP's.

I saw LRB in 1995 in Tempe,AZ,the whole band autiographed my "Sleeper Cacher" LP. That's the one with "Remeniscing".

AWB would be cool.

Saw Foreigner in '94 and sorry to say...they stunk! Oddly enough they were the second act in a show tha was kicked off by the Doobies, who were excellent! :D

Berlin? Liked 'em in the 80s but don't care about a live show.

If this was all one show, you'd have a retro "US" festival!

No, it's not one show -- which would be something -- but, it's all summer and into the fall.

Actually, Foreigner is coming to the Birchmere soon and my son has offered to take me to see/hear them. My only problem is I'm not sure Lou Gramm is still able to sing and w/o him Foreigner is of little interest to me. I want to hear Lou sing 'Growing up the Hard Way' and "I Want to Know What Love Is'. Now if only Steve Perry would rejoin Journey we would have our stadium bands back.

just noticed this thread and it happened to coincide with an article in this morning's newspaper. During the Arizona summers, resorts will resort to attracting the "locals".

One of the finer venues is drawing customers by offering a 70's disco night. Apparently, it's quite popular, even among those too young to have experienced it.

The world is coming to an end.....

Yes you did say THAT Rez and right you were. Do you remember when they had the big disco record burning in one of the big NYC stadia in the late 70's or early 80's?

Yes, I remember. I sent them a Barry Gibb autographed stick match to start the Disco Inferno.

Barry was very obliging. Actually, the whole family signed it. It was one of those big, long, firestarter matches w/ room enough for all.

Ah, the smell of a Disco Inferno wafting thru the smell of hemp. Potent combination - not that I was there.
