And my psychic side is telling me a name...
I see an "R"
Oh, I see "Y"
Now an "A"
Finally "N"
That spells out the name "RYAN"
Any connection there?

Hey Brink
He'll play nice, his mom posts here!
He's a good kid, you won't see disrespect.
(he just said, "that's right, straight up.")
If he embarrasses me, I'll pretend not to know him, and I expect everyone to support me in that.

Hey, SM, he can't answer as I co-opted the computer. However, we figured you obviously got it from the URL of his pic, once we stopped to think about it.
you are Sherlock today.

Yes I am being a real smart @$$ today! Too much DMD3 I guess... By the way, the URL only gave me the filename RYAN.

Hi Ryan Hoover
As your mother found out on her topic
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002480.html
you have to use a web site URL...
you used, like she did, a hard drive address viz:-
"C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Ryan/Desktop/IMG_0740.jpg"
To emphasize what I said on her topic your browser (most likely Internet Explorer) is probably set up to be the default viewer for
<LI>all web sites,and
<LI>web style pages (i.e. files ending in .htm or .html and
<LI>at the same time most or even all graphic files such as .jpg and .gif
( some gifs are animated pics as the honourable stationmaster is now so adept at finding and displaying.Hence if you paste in a hard drive address ending in .jpg to a web page such as this topic page. The poor old browser foils you by displaying the actual corfid page and at the same time links to your computers hard drive to display the picture. Hence to you everything is fine and dandy but to the rest of us our browsers do not have acess to your hard drive so the result is the page includes a red cross in a white square symbol.
But if you sent everybody your actual jpg file by e-mail and asked them to put it into a folder with the exact same name as on your computer they would then see it too. The lesson is the URL of the picture must be a web site one starting with http. I hope this helps.Geddit???

Welcome, Ryan Hoover! This is such a great site with some amazing folks on it! You'll also read some pretty funny "battles" going on. You will figure out who the combatants are, but WELCOME!!!

nah, he's also a "juggalo", otherwise known as an ICP fan (Insane Clown Posse). He's been off on other sites and out with friends. He's a pretty popular guy, judging by how often the phone rings for him. I'll tell him to bring his butt back on and say hi. He was off at hte Clark County Fair today. He's 19, has a HUGE social life...
