To avoid further flak I wiil limit myself to showing only what I always intended the artwork and/or interesting pictures for Lightfoot ebay items
To start with a clutch of Japanese items
Firstly for all of you who couldn't wait to see how "Sundown" looks writ Japanese style

That picture was also used on the Portugese Picture Sleeve issue
Next I have sussed out that many Japanese vinyl albums came with an "obi" or sash such as these

and for those who might not have seen them before
here are the back and front CD jewel case inserts for an allegedly "imported" CD of the 1973 Chicago PBS Television broadcast
John Fowles
If this subject bores anybody please say so, so that I can stop wasting everybody's time .OK??

John - how about posting some of the pictures or articles that you have collected over the years? Or some of the ones that Ron Jones gave you? We can see the pictures at eBay but you an Ron have an enourmous treasure trove of stuff that we outside of Canada, or those that are johnny-come-lately fans have never seen.
Just my opinion.

an excellent notion Deb
I take it your "johhny-come-lately " reference includes "jessie-come-latelys" too
I am collecting rare album/single artwork for one of my projects and will show some more soon Also I have much work to do scanning my own and Ron's old cuttings etc, but meanwhile here is an unusual picture of (I take it) Gord on an EP from Thailand

Here is a strange double LP cover that zoneranger could doubtless vastly improve upon

coupling Don Quixote and SUMMER SIDE OF LIFE
and a montage showing most of the text etc on the AME Early Lightfoot

I had to look hard at this picture
for a new auction entiled
"Gordon Lightfoot Back here on earth plus Hits from his...(greatest albums)"

As I was sure that my copy of that sheet music book was like the two which had preceded it
(Lighfoot! and TWIF) confined to just the songs on the one album, but no I have the exact same copy and there is a yellow/orange paper section inserted (Pages 17 through 48) which give the music for 10 songs from the previous 3 albums
An early "regurgitation" in songbooks !!

I was just reminding you that you said that - dig out that personal stash...
we look at eBay all the time. I am waiting for the wonders of your (and RJ's) collection. I am sure it far surpasses anything on eBay.

OK here is the Japanese "inside -out" Sunday Concert LP

Which has the pictures that are on the inside of the North american issued gatefold as the front cover.
Including(top right) a small picture of one of Gord's earliest and most devoted fans Lynne Ackerman

For those who do not know Lynne has been in hospital in Toronto in a coma for most of the time since we saw her in Hamilton back in November 2004,
No doubt Colo(u)rado Sue could add any further details you might wish to know

I had the pleasure of sitting right beside Lynne during the first night at Hamilton. She was extremely knowledgeable and a lovely person to chat with. She knew her subject !!!

and to round out the Sunday Concert LP sleeve story, here is an example of the very different UK issue (actually being sold from Ontario presumably by a generously endowed lady!! (judging by her screenname)
Sorry but I am not going to spoil the fun and risk opprobrium by showing it here!!
so just go to:-
