Here is the set list from 8/11/05, Interlochen. I am almost speechless. I am in awe of THE MAN. He was very upbeat, did a lot of chatting. His voice was not real strong, but I didn't expect it to be. I had eye surgery in May and my sight is not great, so I closed my eyes and just listened. He was the same, yet different, but wonderful. I wanted to come home, pack a bag and head 250 miles south to see him tonight in Detroit. Really wish I could.
So, here is the set list.
1. Don't know the name of this one-It started out "You think I'm acting strange..."
2. Spanish Moss
3. Shadows
4. In My Fashion
5. Ring those Bells
6. Restless
7. Beautiful
8. Let It Ride
9. Cotton Jenny
10. Triangle
11. Sundown
12. Ribbon of Darkness
13. Edmund Fitzgerald
14. Hangdog Hotel
Intermission
15. Waiting For You
16. Never to Close

Sorry, I hit enter too many times and the post got loaded.
Resuming set list.
17. Lake Couchiching
18. Don Quixote
19. Minstel of The Dawn
20. IYCRMM
21. Rainy Day People
22. Baby Step Back
23. CRT
24. SDYS
25. Old Dan's Records
Encore: Early Morning Rain
He had been off the road for a couple of months and admitted after the interemission that he was "a little rough".
Didn't mind. Loved every second of it.
Came back again and took a bow.

Kathy - could the first song be 14 Karat Gold? It starts out "If you see me smile don't think i'm acting strange / I got my just reward for all my pains....

Annie,
In that first song, he sang "dance a bit"...that's all I wrote down. I was trying hard not to be distracted by keeping tract of what he was singing. Does that sound like it?

Should be quite a party there, with us, you, Bills
(W)allace and Hall not forgetting Max from Italy. anybody else??
more details of a planned pre concert dinner later
Now regarding the Interlochen set list:-
Great Kathy. Just a thought about medleys, in concerts earlier this year he often used Spanish Moss as an intro to another
song (usually Shadows) so maybe your numbers 2 and 3 were in fact a medley??
Similarly on one occasion he used the unlikely combination of Ribbon Of Darkness as a "lead-in" to the TWOTEF (The Wreck) so
were your numbers 12 and 13 a medley??
John Fowles
Out on runway number nine
Enter number two: A movie queen to play the scene
You seem to be much better off now,
There's a rainbow number one.
(from dreamland)
though Gretzky is her hero, I am still her number One
from the unreleased song
ATHABASCA LADY
Has been performed live.
"She's my Athabasca Lady from the town of Edmonton;
though Gretzky is her hero, I am still her numberOne."
Im a name with no number
And so I guess Id be drifting more or less
from Borderstone
I will do my final number, by Lake Couchiching
and finally
"...Why is it so easy to remember Gordon Lightfoot lyrics and so diffcult to remember my PIN number *sigh*."
by "algeh" on a corfid topic at:-
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/ultimatebb...c;f=1;t=000055
Only a few days till Glenside next Thursday then Reading a week today (will have to forego the chatroom that evening)!!!

Hi John, (and Susan
I will be at the Town Hall too. Long way to travel (from Alberta), but I've never been to the big apple and thought what better place to hear Gord!

Oh, Tony...Don't tease me! Are you the one with the seats in the second row...Oh, gosh! Want to but I just can't justify it financially.
Oh, my heart is racing like a wildfire!
Nope, I just can't.
Darn.
What's worse? I really feel like last night was the last night that I would ever see Gord perform. It's just a feeling, and not a good one at that, except that he was excellant last night.
I think reading this message board has given me a new appreciation of his music. I really never 'knew' any other Lightheads and I have been one for so very long. I have made a list of the recordings that I want and am going to pursue collecting them. I currently have Endless Wire, GG, Summertime Dream, Harmony, & Best Of.
Can't wait to get started.
I hope you can find someone to use your tickets.
Double Darn.

I wasn't trying to tease, I was serious. Yes, tickets are in 2nd row. Yours for the asking, 'cause you were nice to be before.
If you leave the TC area now, get to Fox Theatre about 7pm, show is at 8.
