Since GL sometimes (or most of the time) sings about the ocean and boats and ships. Do you think his voice would lend well to any Beach Boys classics? I'd love a complete 360 turn version of "Sloop John B". "Sail On Sailor" is another that comes to mind. Any ideas? Type 'em up! Been me,later!

The Beech Boy song; THE LONELY SEA, would be a nice song for Gord. Randy

Lightfoot doing Carl Wilson's FULL SAIL (from the L.A. LIGHT ALBUM) might be nice. Don't miss the superb version of LONELY SEA on the Beach Boys tribute CAROLINE NOW!

My favourite Beach boys/Brian Wilson song is "This Whole World" from the "Sunflower album. Gord could have done a great acoustic version of this, particularly in the early 70's. Perhaps in a lower key!

That's a cool idea, Borderstone! I would love to hear Gord singing God Only Knows or anything off Pet Sounds. But can you imagine him singing Fun, Fun, Fun or Surfin' Safari? Hahaha!

I can't imagine him doing those, either, which is why it's so funny to think of. He'd probably do a great version of Sloop John B., don't you think? Thanks for responding, Borderstone, talk to you later!

You're welcome Big Blue! I always respond to those who leave me a message. Even if it takess a couple of days.

I've been thinking about it and the idea of Gord singing Beach Boys is as funny as when Pat Boone finally did an album of Heavy Meatal! When he did that,I literally rolled on the floor to his version of G & R's "Paradise City". So,if Gord did do the actual surf and car songs,it could be qutie humorous! Been me,hang ten!

Borderstone, I never knew that about Pat Boone! I've heard Will Shatner doing Lucy In the Sky..., but this is too much! Where can I get a copy of that?
