For whatever reason, which album do you play the least? I haven't played "If You Could Read My Mind" for a long time. The songs I like the most are already on Songbook, so I haven't bothered playing it.(It has others I like to, just not my very favorites).

You don't like Minstrel Of The Dawn? Shame on you.

My answer is Salute. I bought it in 1986 and played it so little that I bought it again a couple of years later, thinking that I didn't have it. I must admit I like it a lot better now that I have it on CD, but I still rarely listen to it. I know it has some songs that count among other people's favorites (Tattoo being one of them), but that album never struck a chord with me (pun intended).

"East of Midnight"...yeh, I know...Steven Foster produced it...perhaps thats the problem. I like to be able to hear Gord's voice and understand what he is singing while he is singing it. "Morning Glory" and "I'll Tag Along" are decent efforts but in my opinion this album was poorly produced. Listen to SD, COTS, SSOL,Sundown and you'll get what I mean when I refer to better produced (re: audio) product.

You mean David Foster, I think, not Steven Foster. Now if he was channeling STEPHEN Foster....

Gord’s Gold 2, I’m afraid. I’m really not too keen on it.
I just love GL alone with his guitar.
I was quite p’d off having to buy it just get If It Should Please You.
Mind you, the gorgeous cover photo was worth every penny!!!!!!!

Sundown for me.

not that i have anything against it, but when i first bought this one, i was constantly listening to it that i've gotten sick of it!. same goes for summertime dream (my first gord album). they're all great songs but when you've heard them so many times, i just overlook those 2 now.

WFY...though I know several here have indicated it is one of their favs. I just never thought it was quite "up to snuff." Interestingly, my all time favorite Gord cd is one that has been panned by many and is generally not rated too highly here: SSOL

Also, purpostedly, Gord's least favorite of his offerings. A sentiment borne out in the fact that he doesn't perform these songs in concert.

East Of Midnight. It just sounds too overproduced, too electric, and too '80s. I like the acoustic sound better.

East of Midnight. I've tried, but I just don't care much for it.

Thought I do love the photographs, yum. But then I love any good looking man in a white suit.

Hi Auburn Annie...no I meant "Steve" I was being facetious but didn't make it obvious I guess.

I thought David Foster produced only "Anything For Love"--one of the worst songs written in the last two thousand years--and that Lightfoot produced the remainder of Midnight. Maybe I'm wrong. Oddly, that track is preceded by one of the best ever: "A Lesson In Love." Though one doesn't usually associate the lyrics "midgets" and "monkey" with a love song, I DO LOVE THAT SONG!

I was going to put my two cents worth with Endless Wire till Gaby said GGII. Even considering the GG's, I think I would still have to stick with Endless Wire. I remember thinking at the time he released it just to satisfy his contract. There's only one or two songs on that album that interest me.

With that said, I would still listen to that over most anything else by another artist.

I'd say,"Back Here On Earth". Nothing wrong with it,great songs and the like, but I know I haven't played it much. (Of course in having the UA collection,it will most likely stay that way.) Been me,later!

Restless...I double checked the cd and you are right..."Anything..." is the only one produced by David Foster...in any event the album is still lame in my opinion.
