Jenney has asked me to let you know that her father passed away this morning
in hospital with Jenney and her mum present. She won't have access to a
computer for a couple of days nor cell phone availability but will be
on-line possibly on Saturday. There will be a family service on Sunday
Oct.31 and a celebration/memorial for her father on November 7. The obituary
will run in the Hartford paper on Saturday and Sunday under the name Tilson
at this link I believe.: http://www.legacy.com/HartfordCourant/LegacyHome.asp

Thanks for the posting, Char. One of the blessings of the internet, in an odd way,is the online guest register. I printed out the messages left when my dad died last year, to keep for my kids. Do you know if he had been ill for long? I'm sure all the folks here and the newsgroup will be thinking of her and her family.

Having lost both parents since 1994, I know how hard it is. All our thoughts are with you, Jenny.
It makes me wonder if Gord knows just how strong a family all of us "net people" are.

Her dad had been ill for some time but this past February saw more problems and the last few months saw further complications and decline.

I've lost both parents, my Mother when I was 13 in'69, and my dad in '99. It's never easy. Even though time heals all wounds, only YOU can decide how much time it takes. My sympathy is with you.

Dear Jenney, I'm sorry to read of the passing of your Dad, my prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. ( your dad may be gone, but no doubt his words of advice and encouragement will remain with you for even. ).
I will be thinking of you on the 7th. I hope everything goes well, and the Community gives Buck the farewell he so justly deserves. It's amazing to read of someone who has contributed so much to their community, over such a long period of time. It is obvious he loved his Community deeply, and I bet that his Community Loved him. Some people just live in a Community, others work really hard to make it a better place, there is no doubt Buck was one of these. It's people who stand for Public Office, and give freely of their time, that make their Communities a much better place to live.

All the best Jenney my thoughts are with you.. Ron.

Thank you all for your kind words. It is amazing just how much they mean at a time like this.
Dad was one of the most ethical people I've ever met, and detested dishonesty in politics and public life. I grew up thinking that a life in public service was honorable and giving back to the community was the right thing to do.
All those in the US, don't forget to vote tomorrow!!
Thanks again for all your good thoughts and prayers.
