I am starting another ebay auction topic
to avoid the lengthy picture downloading now inherent in my previous topic at:-
http://www.corfid.com/ubb/ultimatebb...c;f=1;t=004048
I will shortly be deleting the first item below from that topic so yes you may well have read it already already
I was very interested to see a new ebay auction yesterday for the programme for Gord's 1973 UK and
Ireland tour which apparently encompassed
Dublin
Manchester
Southport
Newcastle and
another London Royal Albert Hall concert that I missed dammit
I caught the 1972 one but not this 1973 one nor the 1974 and 1975 ones (I believe on the spot Bruna
of the silverheels found out about the latter three, but me in the boondocks of Dorset and relying on
picking up details from the Daily Telegraph missed them both

OK it's only a bit of trivia but it is not recorded on Wayne's site which starts in 1974

nd by way of a change now an auction for those poor hooligans/convicts forced to listen to Gord with their
ears a few inches above the ground (the seller is a lad in Ballaret Vic)

John
again first come first served

Attending backstage parties ... great memories ...

A special treat for UK fans
The relatively rare and unique UK issue of Lightfoot!

I had to buy a copy in the UK in 1979 to replace my abused original Montreal purchased (1967) copy.
That copy had been comprehensively ruined by a neighbour in our apartment block who evidently had fitted her gramophone with the largest possible knitting needle!!
I then opened up the UK album sleeve and pasted on the inside the two halves of the original thus giving me a truly unique gatefold copy
the auction has just started (under six hours ago as I type this) and has a:-
Starting bid: GBP 5.00
(Approximately US $9.41)
and it ends on October 28th
the seller says
"Minor wear to cover"
but did not explain how the lettering got skewed it is parallel to the top edge on my copy!!
John Fowles
Disclaimer
As always first come first served good bidding any UK fan who is interested Let me know if you win please

I don't know that the lettering is skewed. It looks like it was put into a scanner at a slightly crooked angle.

I think that I have seen another of this Argentinian opportunist's pathetic tee shirt offerings before (yes it was the skillful Black and White unimaginative effort displayed above)

this time he/she is peddling it on ebay as
"Gordon Lightfoot Great "Artistic Style" T-Shirt"
Oh really!! I think not
