Correct me if I'm wrong, but did Gord record two versions of Way I Feel? I didn't know this until I checked amazon's CD Lightfoot/Way I Feel. Did Gord record any material which were unreleased and also, are there any demos of his very early recordings prior to Remember Me I'm The One?
Sincerely, Maheen.

yep, there are 2 versions. a slow and a faster one with more intstrumental backing. the seciond version, from the album of the same name, is more upbeat and has a bit of a late 60s psychedlic feel to it.

there is a lot of unreleased songs. they are listed here: http://www.lightfoot.ca/unreleas.htm
the warner demos are circulating, and there are live versions on bootlegs of some of the others that are unreleased (pleasures of the night, 2 crazy kids, divorce country style and rock my world to sleep.

I'm not sure of very early demos, but there is the Early Ligthfoot album and Two Tones Live At the Village Corner

Wow! Thanks very much yes I have the Early Lightfoot album and it's unbelievable. I love Daisy Doo it's sort of a rocker, but it's great! Gordon is popular in all fields of music country, pop and folk! Great isn't it?

does anyone know why was it in the 1967 version of the song he shorted it? looking at the songs the title was repeated in the 1st version but not the 2nd time around.

I think it's shorter because it is done in a somewhat faster tempo. The faster the tempo the shorter it is. Also, there really wasn't al that much to add to it,that could have made it any better. I prefer version 1 more than 2 anyway.

Borderstone, I couldn't agree with you more.

I like the beat of the 2nd version better, but overall the 1st version sounds more inspiring, for me at least. All in all, I have preferred the 1st version.
