Canada's MuchMoreMusic has added the 'Inspiration Lady' video. They also have a place on their website where fans can vote for their top ten. If anyone is inclined to, please vote for Gordon, to ensure they play the video as much as possible. We are grateful they added the video, as they usually stick to pop hits, so any positive feedback they get would be invaluable. http://www.muchmoremusic.com/top10/

Geoff

Excellent work Geoff and Linus ,I think. Sure the link you gave takes you to the top 10 voting page but you did say that MMM had added the video to their site. However I could not find it anywhere the only link that looked promising was to a sort of "pop-up video" feature but Gord's most wonderful did not appear to be accessible from there nor on the home page which regrettably has no search feature that I could see.
|So Geoff if you have a suitable link or if anyone else has been a clever clogs and found it could they please post it here??
For reference the earlier MMM IYCRMM clip
according to the working link on Valerie's site is still at:- http://ondemand.muchmusic.com:8080/r...rm?usehostname

I think he means MMM has added it to their programming on TV - it's not on their website. The voting is on the website..
I've voted! Go Gord Go!
Go LEAFS Go!
Char
the MMM video is from the Intimate and Interactive show - he sings IYCRMM.

My vote for Gordon is locked in. Geoff, thanks for telling us about this.

Geoff, if you are able, please check in with us from time to time to tell us pertinent information about Gordon. We are always more than willing to support him in any way we can.

loveyagord (That's... [I] love ya, Gord.}

Did I ever tell you all how I came up with my username? Well, here goes... I had an aisle seat at one of Gordon's concerts at the Starlite Theater (open-air, yet intimate theater--theater in the round or close to it) in Latham, NY around 1990 or so and was thrilled to see that the band members walked from the top of the stairs at the perimeter of the theater down MY aisle to the stage. (I had never been to this theater before, so I had no idea in what manner the band approached the stage. The tickets were also just randomly chosen.)

Of course, after the band passed and took the stage, I began hoping. Well, my wish came true, and Gordon started making his way down the stairs. I couldn't resist. I put my hand out to shake his hand and said, "I love ya, Gord." He took my hand and squeezed it as he went by. Yes, everyone, I was VERY excited. After the concert as we were leaving our seats, the band members remained at the top of the stairs, so I shook hands with each one and told them how much I loved the concert. All were very nice. So, that's how I came up with my username!

Loveyagord,
I was at that concert, too. The revolving stage was great.

Ooooooooops! I voted for Gordon's video three times last night.

I think I may make the above voting link a regular stop as part of my daily computer routine. My finger may just get stuck on the "Submit" key after I vote for Gordon's video.

I think the votes will each count as long as you open and close the muchmoremusic.com voting link window each time you vote.

Take care, all.

Good story Loveyagord.

Reminds me of the concert he gave at the Valley Forge Music Fair(RIP)some years ago. He had a cold and asked if anyone in the audience had some tissues. I wasn't quick enough though. He still sounded great, as usual. I wrote my first & only fan letter, sent it there a couple of days before the concert but don't know if he ever received it.

This is embarrassing but I'm so stuck in the late 50's, the 60's & early 70's that I have no clue who most of those other artists are, I've heard some of the names but wouldn't recognize their voice or any of the songs. So I cast my lone vote for Gordon.

Brian 57 and Loveyagord,

I was there too. It was in 1991. We always went to Saratoga as much as we could during the race meet. That concert was on the opening day, a Wednesday, so my husband took off work and we went up for a day at the races, and the Lightfoot concert in the evening. We got home (to CT) around 2am, but who cares? Until I started going to Toronto in 1999, that was the furthest I ever travelled for a concert.

So does Much More Music allow people to purchase copies of the videos?
