I just woke up and this is still fresh in my mind. Had the most bizarre dream lastnight surrounding Gordon Lightfoot.
In this dream I was in my red housecoat and had to go across the street to this hotel to use the facilities and low and behold this door was open and here was Gord singing Old Dan's Record's in a white Saturday Night Fever suit . He was performing at a private wedding. It was only him and a bunch of new band members! *** GASP***

I don't think we need Terry Clement's wife to explain Gord's dream. It is really quite obvious, don't you think? Our friend and fellow "GLaphyle", Gord, most definitely must have been revisiting his youth of the 60s before going to bed last night and got hold of some "bad" stuff, if you know what I mean!

The description of the white suit sounds like the one on the Endless Wire cover, which I think is the same as the Ken Danby portrait (Google "Ken Danby" +Lightfoot to take a look.)

I have seen pictures of Gordon dressed in a way that resembles saturday night fever's style. It was not white though. Maybe he will be playing in one of his kids weddings. How old are Gordon's kids anyway? I have read that he has a daughter. During his last concert in Jacksonville Florida he was telling us (the audience) that he just moved with his famity to a new home. I am sure it's a nice home.

Gord,
Great dream. The pictures on the East Of Midnight album look about right. I hope we all get invited to the wedding.

That's kind of ironic--I had a GL dream last night too. GL was just sitting around on an old webbed lawn chair at some kind of outdoor gathering. He wasn't singing, but answering the questions of a few people that were gathered. Goofy dream--but kind of nice.

Yeah, but I wouldn't be asking Terry's wife to do any "freebie" dream analysis on this one if she knows that GL was performing with a bunch of new band members! That might not go down too well!!!
What concerns me most, though, is this: Gord, did you make it in time to use the facilities?

I think your dream means you've been listening to "East Of Midnight"LP more than you might admit. The wedding means you want to marry him. As for him being across the street, you wish he lived that close.

And as for the need to go across the street in your red robe to "use the facilities"...you've got a urinary tract infection!

This interpretation seems right on the money. Borderstone is probably the dream analyst herself incognito.
