I can't attend.My BF can't handle city driving,and
I don't drive.So theres no way I could get there.
I'm sooo mad.Oh well,enjoy the show for me.

I'm going on March 3.
Never been to a casino show - are cameras allowed at Fallsview?
I'll bring it anyway for after show pics..

Technically, I don't think cameras are allowed. But they might not be too sticky about small point and shoot jobs. I'd like to get some after-show stuff too, but don't know where to station myself. Anyone know from where Gordon and the band might emerge?

I had considered making the drive (about 8 hours), in hopes of seeing the show and getting my pictures from Whitewater last year signed. But, the weather is just too unpredictable up here this time of year. Every so often, I have to use common sense. LOL Oh well, hopefully I'll get to a different show later this year!

Wow!!! Those pictures are great! I was just talking with someone last night and part of the conversation was about his trip to Niagra Falls last year. It sure looks like a nice place to see. You lucky people that get to go there. Thanks for sharing.

Not as annoying as someone singing thru the whole show..
A few pics over the course of two hours are but quick moments..someone around you who is singing for the whole two hours is beyond inconsiderate.
If the venue allows cameras then that's to be considered part of the show - please note that I said a 'few' pics...

I was at JP Cormier's concert Nov 18 th 2006, and before the show starts, a sweet womens voice always welcomes you to the theatre, and adds, No Cameras Please!!! It's their policy...

But then the house lights go down, and out comes JP and his musicians, very exciting. The first thing he says into the microphone," You can take pictures if you please, Go ahead."

Very funny at first, but he was serious... Cool Dude that JP... :D

I agree that you pay to hear gord sing, not the person sitting next to you!

Here's an idea.........people could go to a show, not snap pitures, not sing and their only contribution could be to clap after each song and laugh at any between song jokes. How wonderful would that be!

Way back in the day I went to a Neil Diamond concert at Maple Leaf Gardens and people were snapping pics like crazy. There were about 25,ooo people and I think everyone had a camera! And this was PRE-digital and phone cameras!

His shows are huge events and the energy level is amazing. After about 4 songs he walked to the front of the stage and had the house lights turned on. He then invited everyone to take pics - even those on the different seating levels to come down to the stage area and take as many pics as they wanted and then they could put the cameras away and enjoy the show without worrying about getting a 'perfect' shot. The cameras didn't bother him because his light show was extraordinary..so he sang a couple of songs with the house lights on and people snapping pics. He posed and danced and seemed like he was having quite a lot of fun with the whole thing. When it was done he thanked everyone for coming and now that the picture taking was over we could all get into the music and really let loose. The sing-alongs and clap alongs and standing and dancing was incredible. Everyone was happy with the pics they got and enjoyed one of the best shows I've ever attended. I saw two others at later dates over the years but nothing was like that night. And I got some fabulous shots from my floor level aisle seat and then up front during the photo session.
Photos at concerts are akin to snapping pics at family functions - they are an integral part of our lives/history. - photos and music are precious mementoes that are part of the experience.
Next to looking at photos of my kids I must say the photos of concerts I've attended bring me great joy. Along with the pics of those who have attended with me the whole concert event is relived every time I open the photo album.
And I can almost forget the annoyance of having someone near me singing along..almost.

Not sharing those photos with people who would like to see them is as much a crime as a sing-along!

I'm sure that the photos are enjoyable to the people who take them. However a concert is not a private family event. Its just not fair for those sitting next to the photographers or in front of them who get the joy of a blinding flash during "Beautiful" or the electronic beep from a digital camera in the quiet middle part of "Trilogy". The people sitting next to and in front of the photographers actually paid the same amount for their tickets as the photographers and shouldn't have to put up with it.

I agree that it would be annoying to have someone directly behind or beside you singing along loudly. But I find it very, very difficult to not sing along.

I just try to keep it low so as not to disturb others, but in my heart I'd rather be singing at the top of my lungs, with all the crecendos and inflections added in at the appropriate places!! You should see me in my car!

I will just mention again that the "voice" is not what it once was and requires a bit more attentiveness on the part of the listener. Sing-alongs are definitely taboo. I can't judge the picture taking aspect. I was fortunate that neither disaster (sing-alongs), nor possible distraction (picture-taking) were present during the Tucson concert. The lack of both enhanced the experience. One man's opinion.
