I just thought that I would tell my little story. I am a Canadian Army officer and am currrently deployed to the east as part of the big "show" going on now. As part of my farewell package, my family tucked a bunch of GL CDs into my foot locker. Where I am I am surrounded by a VERY large bunch of Americans, most of whom are quite young and prefer music of the hip-hop genre. Nevertheless, I played one of my favourites, Don Quixote. Almost immediately I was asked who was playing and how could this music be had. I think Gordy has a very large potential market of thoughtful young people that is as yet untapped.

Jim, Thanks so much for sharing your story. It is always good to hear of young folks being introduced to good music and enjoying it.
An even greater thanks for your part in the "big show" over here. Please take care and visit us fellow Gord addicts often.
BTW, DQ is one of my favorites, too.

Jim, DQ is one of my faves too! And like
Janice I want to thank you for your part
in the 'show' over there. Keep 'tilting
at those windmills' for us all!
Watch yourself, friend.

Jim, take care over there! Pass the Gord stuff around - you all will feel better hearing Gord sing about home and places you'll all recognize.

You couldn't be more right Charlene. I had a little trouble sleeping last night so I listened to Christian Island. I'm from Georgian Bay myself (Penetanguishene actually)and I always find that that song evokes strong memories of home.

OMG Jim - you are from Georgian Bay!!!!!!
I drove thru Pentanguishene on my pilgrimage
to Christian Island (which is my very FAVE)
a long time ago ... I remember it SO well!
Imagine living that close to the source
of Gord's inspiration? Sigh!
