Ft. Wayne, Indiana
A most EXCELLENT performance by Gordon and the band!!!! I can't say enough about how great they are and...a special treat to hear the fine, mellow lower register of Gordon's vocals . The Embassy is a very nice, cozy historic theatre and a nice touch to enter the lobby and hear live piano music while we waited to enter the theatre.
I am SO glad I was able to make it and had just made plans to go with a co-worker less than a week before. I just had a small window of time these days to possibly make a concert and I'm glad it worked out!!!
Set list posted here on Wayne's site: http://www.lightfoot.ca/090320.htm
Great to hear "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Spanish Moss"...which I've never heard performed live before. Gordon also added in "Rainy Day People" , by request from someone in the audience. I was hoping that Gordon would do "Early Morning Rain" -my hotel romm # was 707 hehe.
2nd row seats -excellent and though cameras weren't allowed...plenty of people were taking pictures so I decided that I should. As usual...I got reprimanded!!! This time, by a taser-armed police officer!!! So just a couple of illegally-gotten photos here!!!

Pam,
Glad you were able to make it to the show and had a great time.
How in the world did you manage 2nd row??!! Incredible! I'm very happy for you.
Sorry about the camera police... better luck next time, eh? You got one nice shot of Gord though.

Peter and I were victimized by an over zealous security guard at Gordon's Aurora, IL concert back in Sept 2007. Both of us were afraid to take any pictures. Before the show, this guy even prevented my 12 year old daughter from placing a note to Gordon at the base of the microphone stand. Her note included a picture of her pure white kitten that she had named "Cotton Jenny" and she wanted Gordon to see it. Sounds pretty threatening to me.

Tim is, as always, too kind! the guy was a jackbooted thug!!! even that's too kind, but I won't use foul language in this respectable forum!! (I say that somewhat jokeingly, but it's really pretty accurate.)
Tim's daughter is only two wings and one halo short of being an angel!! to think she couldn't leave a note for Gord is really sad! I think it's security overkill.
All in all, I suppose they are just folks doing their jobs, as they are instructed to do. But that it detracts from the "experience" of loyal fans is really unfortunate.

hey I was at that concert in Aurora . Seems like a lifetime ago!
What bugged me most about being reprimanded is that the guy sitting 1st row center -smack in front of Gordon had been taking pictures from beginning to end. And there were many others too! None of these folks were taser-tagged!
