i remember being in 5th row at the lovely old historic Sanderson Centre surrounded by many very old seniors for a healthcare benefit there
they had just finished taking in a gentle tune (Christian Island, i believe) when he suddenly broke into Boathouse (with volume unusually loud considering it was a Gord gig)...i got a big kick looking around at the hair-raising reactions
note: Gord was sick with cold and sore throat that night but, in his fashion, didn't let down the benefit crowd...actaully his scratchy voice worked really well for his Boathouse delivery, imo
probably my favourite live Gord experience, i gushed all over the soundboard folks after the show
