We've got "Song for a Winter's Night" weather here in upstate New York. There's 22 inches of snow on the ground in Utica, and more to the east of us. Cooperstown has about four feet, and Interstate 90-- the NY State Thruway-- is closed from Syracuse to near Albany. What's really awesome is the ground was bare at 7:30 this morning. It's the biggest single-day snowstorm in local history. I'm going to wait till tomorrow morning to dig out the van. We're plowed in with six foot snow banks. "The snow is piling up beyond my window pane, my Astro lies half buried..."
