Oh, on the capo front -yeah, Shubbs are great! And indeed the person who can invent a capo that doesn't throw the guitar out of tune will make more than that guy with the better mousetrap! The problem for those who haven't tried is in the bass strings. You can end up retuning again and again. This is always fun in front of an audience! Thank goodness for electronic tuners and patient audiences....
I rather like Gord's approach - multiple guitars! I saw Vince Gill once and I've never seen more guitars in one place even in a music store! He must use one per song. Plus of course a guitar tech who keeps coming and making sure everything is well. That's what we all need - guitar techs!!
