The use of the word "inspection" is a powerful paraphrase. In other words if one stores up their treasures on earth in the end they will not enter the heavenly gates.

This part of the song seems to be a paraphrase of a Bible verse...unfortunately I don't know the chapter and verse! I think it goes along with or is a paraphrase of the verse that speaks about storing your treasures in heaven were they will not be stolen or rot. Guess I should have paid more attention in Sunday School!
Afterthought...It's interesting that GL changes it to "It will not pass inspection" later. Hmmm, wonder why?
