I think as long as we're kicking this one around is that a lot of us are scared that he will never perform in public again, that his singing voice may never be the same again. I don't care if he misses every other note myself but the casual fan often posts here that " I done seen him and he ain't the guy I seed in 1969, nor sirree ". No one who posts regularly here is a "casual" fan by anyone's definition. So I guess the root cause or "attraction" of the private party/concert idea is that even if he's not up to par most of us would pay 4 or 5 times of his "old" ticket prices just to get our hands on one more. But I hope he gets back on the road and we can all meet, many of us have BTW, at a public concert. If we do I would hope you would come up and say HI, we're all pretty safe.
