Have to disagree about "Knotty but nice."
That's an old joke. I first heard it at age 5 (44 years ago) from a Disney album about Pinocchio.
"Pinocchio, Pinocchio,
His little head was made of solid Oak, we know.
Pinocchio, Pinocchio,
The rest of him must have been made of Knotty Pine."
Since the movie "Pinocchio" was released in 1940, when Gord was just an infant, it would not be surprising if he were aware of that song, consciously or not.
Final useless fact -- "Pinocchio" means "Pine eyes" in Italian.
