They're still having problems wuth Juno nominations this year. See this link for the latest screw-up:
http://www.canoe.ca/JamColumnBliss/mar1_bliss-can.html

Here's another the main topic of the article was this year's Oscars but the author added:

"No, if you want an example of a flawed awards show this year, you'll have to look to the Junos.

Although the Junos won't be broadcast until April 4, they've already been a comedy of errors. The people who run them initially left Nickelback out of the running for album of the year due to a "data-entry error," and as if that wasn't embarrassing enough, they also disqualified Beautiful, the Gordon Lightfoot tribute album, because it didn't meet the academy's criteria. An awards show that honours the best in Canadian music not accepting a tribute to Gordon Lightfoot? You come up with your own punchline.

And the mistakes keep coming. The Juno people have now admitted they made another omission in the category reserved for the year's best blues album.

That's a lot of mistakes. That's a lot of egg on a lot of faces. The Juno folks may like to believe they represent the musical elite in this country, but the truth is that they have feet of clay just like us ordinary Canadians. Let's face it: the Junos are way more screwed up than the Oscars were this year. Once again, Canada is the world leader." http://www.cbc.ca/news/viewpoint/vp_.../20040302.html
