That totally amazes me that the Canadian radio stations don't promote Gord's CD's. He has done so much to get Canadian recognition in the US, musically speaking.
They call him "a true Canadian icon" but yet his latest, contemporary work is not promoted. At least I would call "Waiting For You" and "Painter" contemporary works. Not only because they are his most recent works but because it fits in with what they play on adult contemporary radio.

Maybe I'm way off the mark here but I would guess that GL really doesn't give a hoot how well his stuff does on the Billboard charts but I wonder what his thoughts are on the airplay issue. As humble as what he seems, I can't imagine he would ever say anything publicly but when he is behind closed doors, I wonder what he thinks about it. On the outside it may appear to some that anything past 1986 is icing on the cake for him. But as loyal fans, we know that he has a lot more to say musically and the radio really should promote his music to let people know that he is still in commission. I don't think that GL would mind a little airplay.
