Actually,I think Gordon was the first person to record,"The F.T.E.I.Saw Your Face" which is simply called,"The First Time" on the Lightfoot! LP. I can't recall who wrote it just now but I'm almost sure that person gave it to Gord 1st. Thanks for your support T.Tide!
