just a few clarifications, it's really a lengthier story but, in short, no, he didn't take "my" seat but yeah, i grabbed what i thought was the ideal 'standing room'/barstool against the wall spot when i saw 'a guy' come and sit in the on the only vacant stool (i think it was marked 'reserved') an arms length in front of me, space was pretty tight back there...anyhow, i wasn't paying too much attention to the scene cos Poor Little Allison was being performed right then...i was a bit ticked that my view was gonna be partially blocked, but then 'the guy' left so i decided i'd better go grab something to drink, etc if i was gonna be blocked in and have to keep asking him to move the rest of the night...anyhow, i'm glad i didn't give him a jab of rudeness cos that's when i realized it was Gord, lol ...anyhow, he came and went from there during the night, but i myself mainly went...i felt a bit tight in that little corner and also couldn't concentrate on the gig so well (hey, this was supposed to be the 'short' version, lol)...so i hung around in that elevated section where we (char, jenney, ron, and the talent) chatted on and off...i must have chatted through some of these tunes cos i can't remember a few you've listed, lol ...so thanks even more for freezing that memory for me
ps) i didn't drive home that night, i'm not that crazy...i got picked up by bro (ok, he IS crazy
) out front right after encore#1 ...so i was sorry we didn't get to carry on after the show ...i was also afraid that you guys were gonna tell me the next day that Gord had got up and done a number at the end of the encores and i had missed out bigtime!... as it was, i think everything was great
(except i wish i'd got clearance to setup a few vid cams in that back perch to capture the event...one zoomed in on the stage, one wide angle and maybe on for cutaways to the crowd response, Gord included
agh, dunno how many times opportunity will knock like that again)
