) Actually,the song I mention above is the only song I've heard by Mr. McKuen. From that I think his voice is somewhat on the soulful side but I wouldn't make that a definete statement.///On another thing altogether: I recently acquired a CD by John Denver. It's one of those el-cheap-o knock offs but it's kind of interesting. It's called The Best Of John Denver but it's actually him doing new versions of some of his classics and some of his other songs. The real highlight of the CD is the song,"For You". That song was actually released as a single in 1996 and I had the chance to buy it but unexplainably,I chose not to get it. Had I known it would be his last single ever,I would have got it then. Well,I have it now and as for the re-makes? Well,the young vibrant energy and heart felt belief in what he's singing seems much less,in fact,even the happier songs sound sad. Except,Thank God,I'm A Country Boy (another re-do but done well.) It's been me,later!
