Since James is new,I'll repeat a story I posted quite ahile back!
I got my first Lightfoot LP at a garage sale in the late 1980's and it was a "very" used copy of "Gord's Gold". I bought it mainly for the hits and thought (naively then) that this was "all" his best!
In between,I got the singles of "Sundown" and "IYCRMM".
Come 1993 I nabbed,"Sundown","Cold On The Shoulder","Summertime Dream" and "Endless Wire" in one purchase (but for some reason,I neer played them much

). I knew "WFY" was out there but I didn't really look for it.
Then, except for a "Wreck" 45rpm,until 2001,I bought nothing by GL...until Songbook. I don't really know what got into me to want to pay $60.00 (in small payments) for that box set but I'm glad I did. That led to seeing him in concert the following year and to getting the rest of his "official" LPs/CD's by the end of 2002.
I know you just asked about the first but my whole story of GL collecting is much better and not so boring.

Later!
