I've been out of the loop for awhile so just came across this thread... The best part of that Seinfeld show was when the discussion ended and Elaine says, "I love his voice" or something to that effect. I also remember seeing High Fidelity and giving my husband an elbow when the mention of GL was made in that movie, which was very good but seem to disappear pretty quickly. (The book is very funny also.) I love it when out of the blue you hear his name dropped.

Now here is a strange one -- Sun. nite I went to see what my kids were watching since Malcolm in the Midd. was long over and the tv was still on. They were watching something called Mission Hill and right before I went to turn it off (because it looked and sounded awful -- nasty animation and irritating voice overs) I hear GL singing Sundown. It's coming from the car on the tv. After a line or two one character says something like - I'm sick of your tissues and GL tapes - and then ejects the tape and throws it out the window. We watched the rest, about 10 minutes, and no one could see any redeeming value to it and I couldn't figure out the context of the GL vignette - whether it was perjorative or not. But like I said I like coming across his name unexpectedly like that. Anyone else see this or know anything about this seemingly strange show?
