Wes - What part of Cleveland did you live in ? You mentioned a suburb of Cleveland. I grew up there, until as a family we moved to Colorado in '75. My family lived in the suburb of North Olmsted, off of Loraine Road in Forest Ridge.
I too saw Gord at Blossom, south of Cleveland. Do you remember the cooler checks at the entrance to the grassy venue ? LOL. Me and a good lifelong friend double-dated to it with new dates each. He wound up marrying his date - 6 years later.
My date, however, expressed non-chalance and boredom over Gord's music, and my feelings for her changed that day to "what did I ever see in her ?" from what I *SAW* in her LOL (she was pretty, but vacuous as it turned out *clearly* LOL. So I was young and did not yet have the right taste in women ! I swear a woman that does not melt listening to "Beautiful" has no soul !
