And most of these guys knew and/or worked with each other (not sure about Cat Stevens, though.) Gord did at least one hunger benefit with Harry Chapin, and knew Jim and his wife Ingrid. Those singer-songwriters are all superb storytellers.
Harry was my husband's favorite - we were to see him in concert at the local community college in August of the year he died. Somewhere or other we still have the poster from that never held concert framed for hanging (it was in the upstairs hallway for a while.)
Still makes me sad to think what wonderful songs we'll never hear because of losing Jim and Harry too soon.
