when i saw Finnan in Apr 2000 (took my bro to see him for his bday) it was in the stonewalled basement of this old house, there's now a War of 1812 monument there
we were stone cold sober but what a buzz that was...he played most of his first album and we (only 15 people there, but standing room only, lol) later all sang along to Rich Man's Spiritual... i picked Aengus's brain for near the entire intermission (he agreed with me on all points but i now that i think back, all that nodding was likely only because he had to have a whee before 2nd set, lol)... we talked mostly photography, he's got an eye...i thought he was planning a Fool's Gold video also, i don't think that happened, too bad...when you go to his site you will hear the lovely intro to that song
i wasn't quite as high on his 2nd album but that's typical...looking forward to the live disc
