which has already been discussed here at length in the past, I have a question.

First, briefly...

I'm 39 years old and have very fond memories of listening to some of the "classic" GL songs such as Edmund Fitgerald, Carefree Highway and Sundown at an age where they apparently had an impact on me. When I hear certain songs today, I still find myself drifting back to things I was doing or seeing years ago when I first heard them and the memories are very pleasant.

I've always been extremely fond of GL's voice, lyrics and tunes, but recently as I listen to his music I wonder what prompted him to write certain lyrics, what his inspirations were, what the lyrics really meant to him, etc...

I seem to be trying to delve more deeply into the meanings of many songs and would very much like to know what they "meant" or mean to not only GL but also other fans of his.

I think it would make a wonderful book to read, so what I'm wondering is if anyone has ever seen anything like this available, or if anyone knows of a site or place other than here I could go to perhaps discover some of these things??

Thanks so much for your time, and I look forward to your replies.

BTW - if there is really no place currently available to answer my questions, would it be interesting to any of you if I would pick a song and we could start a discussion on it? Many of you seem very knowledegeable on GL and his music, perhaps I can find my answers here in time?

Thanks again
