Now I know exactly what to do the next time.
I had the chance to see him at the Fox Theatre in Detroit,MI. That was the best concert I have ever seen.
I owe my dad a big thank because if it wasn't for him I would have never known who he was. My dad has been a big fan of his since the early seventies. So, when I was born in 1975 he made sure I knew who he was.
And as long as I can remember I heard Gordon everytime my dad went somewhere or at home. Back in the good old LP and Eightrack days.
So, when I found out he was coming to Detroit my husband purchased a pair for my birthday and we ended up getting the front row. (Best birthday present ever!)

Not just that we were directly in front of him. The sore neck at the end of the concert was well worth it.

It would have been nice to get his autograph and a picture with him and to tell him thanks for making the best music ever and being there in song when times were tough and not so tough.
But better luck next time.
Thanks Gordon for writing the best music ever and touching so many of our lives with your music.
