Charlene, thanks for that interesting article. The ancestral towns mentioned are in Yorkshire's east and north ridings, not far from York, the Captain James Cook coast and the Thirsk area where the famous veterinary surgeon/author James Herriot lived and worked. As my surname came from Yorkshire ancestors and I have visited York/Cook coast/Herriot country several times, I am happy to hear of that link with Gord and his relatives.
