Lightfoot Days Festival to feature art inspired by legendary singer
A number of 'exciting pieces' have already been submitted ahead of Nov. 1 event, say organizers.

North Simcoe Arts, formally Orillia and District Arts Council, is delighted to assist in providing visual art to accompany the Lightfoot Days event “Memories of Gordon Lightfoot – Stories and Music.”
This event will take place at Creative Nomad on Friday, Nov. 1, 7-9 p.m. Creative Nomad is generously providing exhibition space in the gallery where the performance will be held. Event sponsor is Tim Corney Wealth Management. Light food and a cash bar will be available.
The organizers of Lightfoot Days reached out to North Simcoe Arts asking for artwork that reflects the themes of Gordon Lightfoot songs and a call for art was put out. The deadline for submission is Sept. 30, 2024. Please contact MJ Pollak,

A number of exciting pieces have already been submitted such as "If Children Had Wings," by Enrique Bravo, pictured above, inspired by the Lightfoot song of the same name.
Audience members attending “Memories of Gordon Lightfoot – Stories and Music” will be surrounded by beautiful artwork while listening to music and stories of the legendary performer, Gordon Lightfoot.
