I am over the moon with excitement and pride (and relief). My 87-year-old Mum is feeling the same (and she obviously hasn’t got many seasons left). Melbourne last won the championship in 1964 when I was 2 years old. Mum and my older brother started following the club in 1965 and I became a supporter in the late 1960s. My daughters just turned 20 and don’t remember their club playing in the 2006 finals when they were 8.
