“Kenny is a gentleman and a legend,” Goldenvoice and Stagecoach talent buyer Stacy Vee issued in an email statement on Monday about Rogers. “We will miss having him out at Stagecoach this year. Many of Sunday’s performers in Palomino will be covering one of Kenny’s songs in their set so he will be there with us in spirit!”
Would be interesting if Lightfoot performed, "Never Say Trust Me" which, as he said in the Songbook liner notes:
"Written for Kenny Rogers, but he decided not to use it. I was thinking about him when I wrote it. He had asked me to write him asong, but it turned out not to be right for him, and that's that."
